  • Ah well...

I've missed the bus four times today, damn it.

First, coming out of the office building, I just missed it--so I went downtown to lunch, came out, almost was at the corner bus stop, and...yup, it blew right by me, AGAIN! So, grabbed a cab to the shop I needed to go to...came out of the shop...missed the bus again! So, I have to go back out to the post office...the bus is coming--FINALLY. Then, he blew right by with me standing there like a statue...son of a gun! (not the words I actually said, mind you.)

    I'm not a happy playwrite27, right now.

  • Keanu Reeves and me, part III

Okay people, I think it's lovely that you all think this man is a nice guy--his acting abilities I can't comment on, and I DON'T CARE. Okay? I don't care if he's a good actor or a bad actor--I've only seen one film of his and I probably never will see another--cos I DON'T GO to the movies! And, I don't have tele, and, I don't rent DVD's.

IT WAS obviously not a serious post--I've posted a follow up to say that it wasn't intended to be a serious post--what part of that don't you understand?

Honesly you Keanu Reeves whingers--seriously...If you haven't get a blinking sense of humour, stay away from me, 'cos I don't want you infecting me with your apparent lack of personal depth and character.

STOP bothering me with details about the man. I DON'T CARE.

On this blog, I also make JOKES about David Tennant, Dr Who, reality shows, stupid Americans, republicans (same thing, really), the religious right, George W. Bush, Sarah Palin, My city where I live, MYSELF, my family...get it? It's what I do. Humour is literally my SURVIVAL technique. It's how I cope with a less than active lifestyle, now that I am not in the best of health.

So, if you don't like JOKES about Keanu Reeves: TOO DAMN BAD. Get your own blog, then.

  • Washington Law makers Send Citizens Message: We don't care if tens of thousands of you lose your jobs!

The recession will likely lengthen, due to a mixture of shortsightedness and panic from big and small business owners, and worries of private citizens trickling down to less spending...is definately worsening now, solely due to the sheer stupidity of Washington lawmakers...

...one of whom publicly derided the car maker's plea for assistance, indicating to everyone that they don't care if the car maker's fail---a continuation of blatant American stupidity, as publicly telling Americans that their own government simply doesn't care if the car companies fail, causing tens of thousands of Americas to lose their jobs, in a deep recession, is nothing less than BRAINLESS!

Basically, it's a vicious cycle--sort of along the line of the scorpian stinging its own tail.

  • Signs of the Times

The trickle down effect of the car industry crisis, is being felt in other areas besides factories and car buying lots.

Honda is going to be pulling out of Formula One racing--and, if Ford, GM, Chevy and/or Chrysler go down, it may eventually have a big impact on American NASCAR racing, as well--and cars sponsored by these companies are pulled from competition.

    In other news:

A 23 year old American pedophile may be facing a long prison sentence, after he responded to an advert for a baby-sitter (child minder) which was posted in an online classifed, called "Craigslist." The man was hired to mind a 2 year old child, and then after the parents left the home, used a video camera to pose the child in various sexual positions. If convicted, he could face up to 30 years in prison.

  • Another Tardisgurl meme...just because I need something to do before bedtime and don't feel like reading, sorry.

Arrrgh! have to redo this--my mouse is driving me bonkers--every time I so much as jar it with my arm or elbow, even tho' my hand's not on it, it clicks on it's own--just got booted out of this post by the dang thing, drat it all.

Well, it's only a stupid meme, so no sense getting upset about it, I suppose...is very annoying tho', I must say.

    1. Who were you with last night?

Coworkers, two cabbies, two bus drivers, a server at Arby's and a couple of till clerks.

    2. What woke you up this morning?
My clock radio...think it was playing "Walking in a Winter Wonderland"--yes, the annual heavy saturation of carols on the lcoal radio stations from Thanksgiving day (07/11) until Christmas day, is going full tilt.

    3. Where are you?

In front of my computer at home.

    4. Is tomorrow going to be a good day?

Meh--gotta' work, gotta' run errands (pay a bill, laundry, buy cat food), so you figure it out....however, if I'm not too knackered, I may stroll to the city's downtown, to take in the "big" Christmas celebration...haven't seen what a "Sax-O-Santa" is supposed to look like...presumably some gent dressed as Santa, playing the saxophone?

    5. Did you kiss or hug anyone today?

    My cat, Flamey.

    8. When's the last time you cried?

Last night, I was still upset about that poor woman I spoke with on the phone, still very guilty feeling.

    -The PAST-

    10. Ever thrown up in public?
Probably as a child, yes, but I don't remember

    11. Passed out because of alcohol?

Can't say I've ever had (or desired) that experience

    12. What's on your mind RIGHT NOW?

God, my feet hurt, wish I still had my whirlpool foot bath/massager.

    -The FUTURE -

    13. Would you take a bullet for anyone?

Hmm--can't say that issue has, or likely ever will come up, but knowing me, I might, under the right circumstances, I suppose. I don't think "taking a bullet" is something anyone ever conconciously thinks about tho', really---it's a reflex-gut reaction, after all, isn't it? I mean, who ever sits around thinking, "I think I'll take a bullet for someone, some day." This is a really silly question.

    14. Where would you like to live?

Friesland, Scotland, Iceland, Wales, England, Ireland, Vermont, Adirondacks or Washington County, New York (but not the city or suburbs)...maybe even New York City, or London, if I had a cool job, a decent place to live and some good mates to hang with sometimes...and my cats too, of course!

    15. What kind of home would you like?

A small cottage or bungalow, a decent caravan (one that doesn't require tons of repairs all the time), a log cabin, small farmhouse, or even just a nice, reasonably quiet flat with either a balcony or at least a little garden... or barring that, someplace nearby that's green and pleasant, to stroll though. Any of these would suit me to a tee, really.

    16. What do you want to be when you grow up?
Umm...at 48, I've been there, done that, got the tee shirt, and I hate this meme question, I think it's really naf.

    17. Where do you see yourself in 5 years?

I hate this meme question, as well---I don't want to know, okay? Probably no better off than I am now, and possibly worse...don't forsee a whole lot of positivity in my future, quite frankly--tho' one never knows, I suppose.

    - ON MYSPACE -

SKIP THESE...I Don't do Myspace, don't care for it, personally speaking.

    20. Who is your number one?
Sis, when I figure it out

    21. Why are they your number one?
she's my favorite cousin on this planet!!! Agree with Sis (haha, I admit I cut out cousins)

    22. Who have you kissed on your top friends?
I'm sure I've given all of them friendly peks!

    23. Who was the last person that left you a comment?
    Jennifer or Danielle (can't remember)

    24. Are you good friends with this person?
    Yes

    25. What is this person to you?
well one day...........cousin in law and sister in law
    - IN GENERAL -

    27. Do you like candy necklaces?

    Are they still around?

Mum used to buy them for us, back in the 60's and 70's, at the Woolworth's candy counter. I wore them, but I aways thought they tasted like rubbish...especially the banana flavoured one's...bleh. I prefered the little wax cola bottles with the coloured sugar water in them, or those little chocolate malted milk balls, Dots gum drops or cigar bubble gum.

    28. When was the last time you fell over or ran into something?

I ran into the stove coming out of my room this morning (it's right next to my bedroom doorway), when my cat Charlie decided that he had to walk in front of me...right where I put my foot down...bad habit of his.

    29. Do you listen to music every day?:

    Of course.

    30. Do you still go trick or treating?

This HAD to be written by a rugrat. Adults don't trick or treat.

    31. What was the last thing you ate?

Chicken biryani with basmatti rice, peas paneer and a pepsi.

    32. Are you a fast typer?:

Hell no, about 35 WPM is about as fast as I've ever gotten...15 or 20 WPM is more my average speed.

    33. About how many people have you liked?

Again, a teenager question. An adult wouldn't be able to answer that, unless he or she was a hermit or a recluse or Father Jack

    34. What are you doing this weekend?:

Working most of the day, Saturday...maybe some grocery shopping if don't get it all done on Friday. Sunday, there's supposed to be a trolley to take folks around to see the Christmas lights on the houses in the city, and I might do that...depends...or, I might just schlep around the apartment all day, or, I might go to the laundromat. Not good at making weekend plans, am I?

    35. Whats your favorite type of SODA?

Coke classic in a glass bottle, Orange Crush glass bottle, Mug rootbeer, Schweps gingerale, Stewart's orange-cream soda in a glass bottle, Pepsi, Royal Crown Cola, Grape Nehi soda.

    36. Have you ever moved?

    Yep.

    37. Have you ever won an award?

    Yep.

    38. Do you do any sports or other activities that are unusual?

Well, I used to enjoy horseshoe pitching a great deal. And I used to take lessons in beginning western reining (that's like the cowboy's version of dressage)...not sure if that classifys as unusual, though.

    39. What do you want to do right now?

Have a more interesting and fuller life, ha-ha.

    40. Are you listening to music right now?

Yeah, Ruby by the Kaiser Cheifs is playing on the internet radio station, at the moment.

    41. Do you like someone?

What kind of daft question is that? Is that meaning of the opposite sex, or just someone in general--this is a rotten meme, who wrote this crap?

    42. Whats a word or phrase that you love?

"Reverse the polarity of the neutron flow." God, I'm such a Whovian-anorak, aren't I?

    43. How many days til your birthday?

    11 months, 7 days, exactly.

    44. When were you the saddest in your whole life?

Obviously the day my mum passed on.

    45. What time is it?
    It's exactly midnight, my time

    46. Do you use EBay to buy or sell?

I used to, both buying and selling, mainly in the late 90's as a seller--more recently I bought things when I was a saddle and horse/cowboy antiques collector, but the last time I used e-bay was probably at least 5 or 6 years ago.

  • I take it back--people do actually still eat this crap

I just posted a comment in Kevin's blog, how my dad used to eat a deli sandwich meat, called, "blood and tongue." It was really gross, and around here, they no longer sell it, haven't sold it in years, actually.

It not only looks disgusting--it used to smell pretty awful, as well.

Well, out of curiosity, I googled it...and they do still make it. Who the hell eats this, I don't know, but I'm not kissin' 'em!

Here's what "blood tongue bologna" looks like:

  • Keanu Reeves and me---part deux

Hey, relax everyone! I wasn't trying to insult the man, so take it easy, okay??

I'm genuinely not at all familar with the gentleman--only saw him in one film in my entire life, and as I've indicated more than once on my blog, I don't follow who's who with film stars, television personalities and singers and such, I don't make it a point to really care about what they do---

--So, basically, I just plain do not take celebirties at all seriously---no matter who he or she is, for crying out loud! All I was doing in that last post, is that I was just having some larfs---I was NOT being serious!!!

He may be Jesus Christ incarnate, and the best actor since Clark Gable, and I still would have posted what I did in the last post, so no harm, no foul, okay?

I had NO IDEA there were so many Keanu Reeves fans out there, wow. Why is it, I can joke about David Tennant, but not Keanu Reeves? I find that just a bit mad, quite frankly.

So, Sorry Keanu Reeves and fans...had no idea you lot were so sensative, or I wouldn't have posted the previous post. I apologize for Keanu Reeves for being a semi-B actor, OK?

  • Keanu Reeves and Me

It's a pretty rare thing, but sometimes out of sheer boredom, I'll flip through the lame celebrity gossip pages--the only other sections of the newspapers worse than that, are the financial pages and the sports section---I mean, I honestly usually find the obituaries more interesting than the celebrity columns, so that should be an indication of just how often I read celeb gossip.

But, there was a lull at work, and I'd already read through three newspapers today, so I browsed the frowsy pages of an UK online paper, skimming the TV and Showbiz section.

One of the big "news" stories, is that actor Keanu Reeves took some friends--and a body guard, to a curry house and spent over a 1000 bucks on curries and wine.

Okay...that's fine, if he's got it, I suppose he can afford to flaunt it, all well and good--but, WHY does a semi-B actor like Keanu Reeves, need a bodyguard? I mean, he's Keanu Reeves, not Christopher Reeves, for pity's sake. No one will ever sign him up to play Superman. Are women actually lusting after him...well, if they do for David Tennant, I suppose it's plausable they might do that to Reeves...or has he been a bad boy? Or is he just too insecure to go to a curry house by himself?

Anyway, Keanu Reeves spent a grand on a curry pig-out.

Tonight, I had a delicious chicken biryani and rice ready meal, with microwavable peas panner, and, a can of Pepsi, I had no bodyguard, and just the three cats, and, since I used my Thanksgiving bonus of a grocery store gift card...it cost me: nil. And, you know what? I really enjoyed myself.

So, Keanu may be a big shot celebrity, with a hoard of hanger's on, but who do you think got off better, ey? That's a rhetorical question by the way...I probably wouldn't spend a thousand at a resturant--not unless I was very rich, and throwing a birthday party or something....my mum would roll over in her grave if I spent a grand on dinner, no matter how well off I hypothetically might be!
