Gah--I am a dull old maid today!

I honestly can't think of anything even remotely interesting to write about. Anyway, it's snowing a wee bit here, and I have to trudge out to the laundromat shortly, so you won't be "seeing" much of me on here today.

Here's a meme someone sent me a while back, but which I never did get 'round to doing...until now.

______________________________________________________________________________

. Black and White or Color; how do you prefer your movies?

I perfer contemporay flicks in colour--but I'm a sucker for those old black and white films--especially film noir--perfect for black and white...there's something about black and white film, that really adds to the story--I think colour film can actually be a distraction...does that make sense? Meh--what do I know, anyway?

2. What is the one single subject that bores you to near-death?

DIY. Start talking plunge routers, miter saws and home wiring to me, and you've pretty much put me to sleep.

3. MP3s, CDs, Tapes or Records: what is your favorite medium for prerecorded music?

I really don't know about Mp3's, I have records but they scratch easily...CD's are horrendously expensive...which is why I personally have only bought about 10 CD's in my lifetime, taken altogether. Hated 8 track tapes, there was a fad that needed to die. I do like casettes, though. Yes, they have their issues, coming unraveled, and poor sound quality and whatnot--but, it's so easy to do your own mix tapes, and tape players are so portable--and I've not a clue how to record stuff on CD, nor have I ever owned a portable CD player (forget about an Ipod)

So, reckon it's good ol' cassettes for backward old me.

4. You are handed one first class trip plane ticket to anywhere in the world and ten million dollars cash. All of this is yours provided that you leave and not tell anyone where you are going ever. This includes family, friends, everyone. Would you take the money and ticket and run?

No, that wouldn't be right, not even if my life was in danger, 'cos my friends have been so good to me, and even tho' my sister and I aren't close, it wouldn't be cool to make her worry like that--now, if other people's lives were in danger, sure, I'd do it in a heartbeat, of course.

5. Seriously, what do you consider the world's most pressing issue now?

Water---its so often not talked about, what with the economy, hunger, global warming, illnesses like cancer and aids, terrorism, and such taking a front row seat in most discussions--but we can't live without clean water---and our water resources are shrinking at a more rapid pace than people realize.

6. How would you rectify the world's most pressing issue?

Education, get the word out, and, better water quality protection, and research into desalination and such.

7. You are given the chance to go back and change one thing in your life; what would that be?

Take college more seriously when I was 19, and not drop out.

8. You are given the chance to go back and change one event in world history, what would that be?

I'm not sure that I should. Would it really make the world a better place--or would it just make things worse?

9. A night at the opera in Vienna, or a night at the Grand Ole' Opry in Nashville which do you choose?

Well, not crazy about either choice, but reckon the singing would be a whole let better in Vienna--and, Vienna's not the south, so, pass me the opera glasses.

10. What is the one great unsolved crime of all time you'd like to solve?

Jack the Ripper.

11. One current famous writter can come to dinner with you. Who would that be, and what would you serve for the meal?

Russell T. Davies...bet that'd be one cool dinner conversation.

12. You discover that John Lennon was right, that there is no hell below us, and above us there is only sky - what's the first immoral thing you might do to celebrate this fact?

This is a really stupid question--who cares? I'd just live my life, same as always--well, I might send a sarcastic note to the religious right.
