I lost my car in the late summer of 2006. So, no more country drives--well, with gas prices, and global warming to worry about that wouldn't be possible now, anyway.
So, I'm taking you all on a "Virtual" road trip with me and my immaginary vintage pick up truck, down the back roads and by-ways of Washington County NY.
So, sit back, enjoy some of my favourite "road trip" music, and take in the scenery:

I've been to the fireman's day at Salem a few times--a really great town.
I love Washington County. My aunt used to live way down in Easton, near Greenwich, and my sister used to live not far from Cambridge. Must be quite a change, living down south...but just think, we had snow last week, so you don't have to dig out from the white stuff anymore!

E. Broadway & N. Main, i haven't seen those signs in a while. I grew up in Salem, NY, small town America doesn't get any better. Stumbled across your blog on accident, and then was struck with a sense of nostalgia as i recognized the photos.
