  • « Did David Tennant LIE???? | Thank you fellow Dr Who fans..and other blather »

Oh F_ck! I'm NEVER watching New Dr Who Again!!!

    I mean it.

He regenerated and David Tennant LIED, the little creep.

So much for me thinking he was a nice guy.

Screw this show and it's dirty little secrets.

I don't like being LIED to.

I don't like bad surprises. Haven't I had enough of that cr*p in my life?

THIS SUCKS. I QUIT. No more crushing news. I'm sick of this.

Up yours, David and Russll. You stinking, lying bastards.

  • David will be back count on it.... His hand in a jar is something to do with it.

  • Weeell, we didn't actually see him actually turn into someone, but my sister's friend works for the BBC and she is pretty sure that the new DW is John Simm. But we won't know for sure until next week...

  • ... Nancy... calm down...
    Crikey...
He hasn't actually regenerated, and for another thing, okay, I don't think he would lie. The Doctor has said, I'm certain, in the past, if he's shot by a dalek, then he can't regenerate. I personally think his regeneration's gonna fail or something, because he's been signed on until 2008. I think it's just to keep us on our toes!

  • Prywden just said:

"Just re-watched on-line and Dalek Khan says 'beware the threefold man'......"

DT isn't going anywhere for a while I bet... :)

Sorry to hear that you are so unhappy with episode 12. You should write the BBC and tell them how you feel.

I've been a fan for over thirty years, and didn't like that episode very much. I thought it was done purely for shock value and also so Russell could get his rocks off by upsetting the fans, while tying up some loose ends. I thought it was very sloppy, and if it weren't for Steven M. coming into the picture next year, I might have considered walking away from the programme.

I'm not sure how a brilliant writer like Davies manages to end his tenure on Doctor Who by writing such insipid drivel. He might as well start writing comic books.

Of course, the dumbed down masses probably loved all the shockers, I suppose. Anyone who loves programmes like Big Brother, probably wouldn't know a bad script if it had "bad script" written all over the walls of sets.

    • Thanks Phil,

Hope you don't mind if I post your comment to my blog. I won't bother the BBC, because quite frankly, they won't care--probably won't even read my comments, 'cos I'm in the USA.

And certainly, I KNOW neither Davies nor Tennant will care about the personal effect this had on me.

I've got no time to waste whinging to deaf ears. I mostly agree with you about what you said. Doctor Who does pander a little to the masses, but mostly it never did--which is what drew me to the show. Episode 12 was such shameful pandering....disgusted the hell out of me. Oh, no fault of the actors, I suppose, they have to do the script they're given. Except Tennant...that script stunk, and I can't believe he was so blind in love with Davies that he didn't notice that. It's a wonder they aren't dating, ha-ha.

      • Hey Nancy G

I was incredibly naughty and peeked at a Stolen Earth spoiler topic someone had posted on my Facebook Aussie Who groupsite. Serves me right for peeking a whole series ahead, as we've only just had VotD screened here in Australia!!! I was absolutely inconsolable!!! However one of my UK friends assures me the 3 specials have already been filmed and he's in them, and I read a recent article that they're dangling a 2.6 million dollar carrot for Tennant to stay. But then who knows what to believe anymore??? I have a theory they may have split the Tenth Doctor, but then what do I know, only having seen VotD!! And there was another theory a while back that Ten would be body-swapping with the Master and that John Simm would be the new Doctor, and Tennant would be the Master. Has anyone else heard this? Obviously RTD is being very tricky.

Also letting you know that we've located Tennant's Romeo and Touchstone Shakespeare essays in PDF format and have posted a link on my site. Hope they fix your Facebook glitches soon, Nancy G, missing you.

And by the way Phil, Tennant is such a brilliant writer with such an awesome vocabulary and intellect, I don't know why he isn't writing Doc Who himself. Couldn't do any worse than the others are doing, by the sounds of it!!!

        Luv - R

        • Hi,

Glad you were able to find those essays. Tennant said once in an interview I read, that he would (paraphrasing here, this was over a year ago, that I read or saw this) that he would be sort of intimidated to write a script. I don't know if he was joshing or not. But, let's face it, the likes of Davies and Moffitt would intimidate me, and I am (well, only sort of) a writer.

I also read where he was asked if he wasn't an actor what would he do, and he said, I think, an English teacher, so I guess he must have liked writing and such, when he was young.
