It's a bunch of essays by a famous American sociologist, all about the realities, problems and perceptions of modern American culture--not as dry as it sounds, it's well-written and very engaging.

This morning, based on a dream I had last night, I began a new Doctor Who story, and also wrote a half a paragraph in my other Dr Who story.

It's a tie, between a weekend here in the Adirondacks with my mum, back in the mid-1980's (about 10 years before we moved up north and lived there), and the few days I spent in Iceland, in 2001.
