Gotta' keep this short--it's four in the afternoon...just got done with some training here at work, and I'm famishied...haven't eaten since 9am, and then not much.
Anyway, had a nice weekend, for a change.
Went to the local mall in the neighbouring town of Queensbury, Friday night. I am not a huge fan of malls, but..it was something to do, wasn't it? I left though, when the mall began filling with rowdy rugrats. They have security people, but the rent-a-cops at the mall are mostly only good for ticketing parking violators, ya'know what I mean? Anyway, it was good to get out, and there's an Arby's takeaway in the food court--never can have enough of Arby's tasty roast beef and cheddar melts, served with their special sauce, on their toasted onion rolls...yum!!!!!!!!
Haven't had one in nearly a year, so it was a genuine treat for me.
Went to Wal-Mart's Satuday...they're the cheapest place to buy money orders, and I had to get four, so I could pay the March and April rent (there's a $500 limit on money orders, so I usually have to buy two for the rent)
While sitting outside, waiting at Wal-mart's for my cab, I looked up at the sky.
It was a blue sky, but breezy, with wisps of white clouds scooting across the horizon, from west to east towards the mountains of Vermont, looming in the distance. Though the sun was shining, the moon was out, a half-moon it was. Thing is, the way the clouds were moving, made it actually appear as if the moon was racing west-ward, across the heavens. Very weird feeling. If it wasn't for the overhang of the roof, the illusion might have been quite eerie.
I suppose it's much like when one is standing on a dock on a lake, on a windy day, with the waves moving rapidly across the water...makes it seem like the dock is moving, instead of the water. I remember when I was young, standing on the dock at Little's Lake, back home, and getting a slight case of vertigo, sometimes. I never get sea sick on a boat, but put me on a dock on a windy day...![]()
I watched the Five Doctor's this weekend---love it! I've not seen it in years and years. It has its minor flaws, but who cares? It's just so neat, to see all these fine actors and actresses together. Not to mention the cybermen and a dalek--and that Raston Warrior robot...How brilliant was that? Wish they'd bring him/it back. That was a really cool Who "monster."
Anyway, I tried to get into my blog, but kept getting some stupid advert in German pop up...how annoying! BCUK must really be getting desperate for revenue--but, do they not get that most of us are NOT GERMAN????? I'd have to call my "aunt" Elfrida, who originally hails from Kassel, if I wanted it translated, ha-ha.
