New scam, lovin' it: Got another e-mail in my box, extorting the wonders of my writing and wanting me to shell out money for publishing my stuff. This time, to the tune of $2100 dollars! (Roughly, a little over a thousand pounds), that's about double my monthly salary!!!! Nutters, thinking all Americans are rich. We may be stupid, but we ain't all rich!

Oh, but they do, on my Yahoo--and try to get me dates with "hot sexy" girls, too.
I don't have a spam button on hotmail...just a junkmail button. They definately are doing this through BlogUK I think, tho' as i seldom use my hotmail account for anything but personal stuff, unless they got it through the TimesOnline or Virgin Radio sites.
Oh well, price we pay for internet technology...
I always thought authors were paid (or worked for free) to write, not the other way around. It's a bit like me having to pay for a 99 dollar gaming licence (and fill out a notorized 12 page application, fingerprinting and reams of personal documents) just to clean loos and offices at the casino/race track complex, for the eqivalent of a 4 pound an hour job.

At least they aren't trying to sell ways to enlarge your penis!

Thank heavens for the 'Report Spam' button.
