Awwww----Adopt a Pet and share the love!

Because...if you love them, really love them, they will return that love--unconditionally, for the rest of their life.

Please visit your local shelter and adopt a cat, kitten, dog or puppy. C'mon, you know you want to! (Isn't she just a little sweetheart?)

Well we adopted the robins that use our backyard - does that count?

But Playwrite, please tell me what I can do about a certain male cat that uses our tiny plot of earth as his own personal toilet.

Now then, I don't want to harm him, but if he keeps doing that I'm gonna get out the old Blunderbuss and doing nasty things to that cat!!

    Any ideas??

    :)) wifey - x

    • I'm not sure if they sell it in the UK, but over here, hardware stores sell a product that you can put on shrubs, grass, etc. that offends the noses of cats. Cat-Stop, Shake Away (which is all natural and not at all harmful), and products like that. I know your budget is tight, tho', at the mo'.

A cat-friendlier alternative is to plant some catnip in an obscure corner of the yard or garden that you never go near.

You can mulch that part of the garden, with bark mulch, which many cats don't like, or keep the area very wet--cat's don't like wet.

      Umm--let's see...

Try sprinkling the area with a tea made crushed hot pepper or cayenne, rue or lemon juice, or sprinkle some crushed hot pepper or cayenne on the ground. Also, if you use grapefruit, try grounding up the outside peels and putting that out there, it sometimes works--'tho might attract ants and other bugs.

Cats hate rue, so there's that you could plant in there.

  • We got our dog from the shelter, and it was a good thing too they were going to put him to sleep within 2 days if no body adopted him :(

But he is here now and very happy :) lol he is also one of the most gental dogs you want to meet, you can even take food out of his mouth while he is eating, and he will just stare at you wondering when he can eat again :P
