Well, this is a surprise. A new companion for the Doctor--talk about a very well-kept secret. There were rumours of course, that Freema was leaving, but never really confirmed by anyone anywhere.
Okay, so, it's not me, ha-ha. Somehow I don't think some fat middleaged American broad, limping around the Tardis would go over well with audiences. 
Gays, inter-racial relationships, partial nudity, all acceptable now in the Tardis...but fat ugly women--don't think that'll ever happen. 
I like mysteries, and nice surprises, but gee, it would have been nice to have been warned. It made me so sad to see her go. I really liked her--tho' I read she'd be back on the series, later, which is nice.
I also read that the Tardis crashes into the Titanic? Is that for real? What the hell is Russell doing now? I'm not so sure about this...but maybe it will be well done--usually is, no matter how preposterous it sounds on paper. Guess I'll just have to be patient and wait.
