Who Rules and Three Cheers for Queers

Well I hasn't watched TV for a year now since the signal we received was so bad all we got was squigly lines across the screen. And we tried an aerial booster thingy but still no good. So I havn't seen hardly any Dr.Who stuff or anything else.

Glad to be away from the TV really. But I never did like it much. I made the radio me friend for a long time when I lived by meself.

But I remember sometimes there were a good programme or two I liked and it were so relaxing and entertaining to sit and watch with me sardines and cups of tea and warm feet - not to eat - the feet I mean (get a grip woman!).

Fancy living in a place where there are snow blizzards! Wish I could try that for a while. I know I know it ain't all nice but I do like snow.

Well I'm off to dust something. Do they have computers in the library that you can use for free like they do here? Mind you it's only for an hour or sometimes even less time.

I do HATE creepy crawly things in my abode. Eeerrgghh!!

I suppose I like the snow too, at times--except when it's mixed with freezing rain! I hate ice! Several times, as a stablehand, I had to work in 40 or 50 below zero (I suck at conversion, but our zero farenheight, is around your 17, I THINK...so subtract another mess of degrees off of that..and you have an inkling of the cold)..of course, often that's wind chill temps, how cold it feels, not how cold it actually is. Although it did actually get down to 40 below zero in January, two years ago, and 25 or 30 below zero, farenheight, isn't unheard of...15 below is actually normal, in the dead of winter. We almost always have at least two weeks of deep, bitter cold, every winter--hopefully no more than that.

We need a lot of snow here--not just for the local tourist based economy (snowmobiles, skiing/snowboarding, winter festivals, etc). We need it for the water table...not enough snow over winter, may mean a drought come summer.

But, we've had one snowfall already...snow is iffy...may have a lot, or a little..never know. We've had snow on and off from October to early May, here--and sometimes hardly any all winter..you never know. We've had 2 or 3 foot snowstorms, and some years, mostly rain/snow events, and not much else. Differs..but you get tired of it after January..by March, you're praying for an early spring, which doesn't always happen. I worked in an amusement park one year, and we had to shut down the carosel in May, because a late heavy snowfall collapsed the carosel's awning.

We had a thunderstorm, and it was in the 70's yesterday--very wierd for this time of year--it should be quite cold, by now...and even snowy. Very weird--but like not having to wear a heavy jacket.
